Finnish furniture brand Artek was publishing the bamboo furniture at the Stockholm Furniture Fair next week. It was designed by Artek Studio/Henrik Tjaerby. The furniture design comprised a chair, dining table and coffee table made of laminated bamboo. The wood furniture were exhibited last year in Milan during the furniture fair and at 100% Design in London. A group led by seminal Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto founded the Artek in 1935. Swedish investment group Proventus, which also owned the Tom Dixon design brand, possessed the Artek. Dixon became creative director of Artek. The Stockholm Furniture Fair was placed in the Swedish capital from 7-11 February.
