These simple details gave on the divans a whole new aesthetic totally at odds with conventional images, whilst the unique sofa obtained different seat depths and back heights. In order to fully respond to the original idea, the full color sofa had the notches in a different colour and/or fabric. A ‘living’ divan, which appeared in constant movement, was the final result.
Cologne 2011: this set of bright yellow divans, two tables and a foot stool were presented by designer Philippe Nigro for Ligne Roset at imm cologne last month. The modern sofa was called Entailles. The sofas could be set in different configurations to make a one, two or three-seater platform. Tables pierced into gaps between the seats. Imm cologne was placed 18-23 January.
