Cologne 2011: this modern armchair with long cushions woven through its metal frame was presented by French designer Eléonore Nalet at imm cologne in Germany last month. It was called Serpentine. The armchair design changed metal outdoor seating into a cosy cocoon for long summer evenings. Imm cologne was placed 18-23 January.
The armchair furniture was designed for sitting outside all year long. The delicate metallic structure impressed one of winter vegetation. When summer comes back, Serpentine was clad with long colored cushions that entwine the backrest and armrests supports.
The underlying metal frame was glimpsed, but your body would never touch it. The weaving composed comfortable and welcoming irregular upholstery. Materials consisted of metal frame, outdoor textile (Sunbrella), and foam.
