Freestanding bookshelf in polished metal. Dimensions was height 78 cm x depth 31 cm x width 184 cm. It was provided in different colours all with red heart. The cubic period was represented by Robox. To find out the “right way” after the hyperboles and parabola of work, the trick was the edge solution. A shelving furniture had a new function from Mazinga to the Transformers the boys of my generation had always a robot on their side, so its presence was justified next to my desk.
The inclusive attitude of this new domestic hero: a device with a heart, an hard-disk pre-digital where store our memories, was revealed by the simple change of a consonant.
This robot-shaped shelving unit was designed by Italian designer Fabio Novembre for design brand Casamania in Milan next month. Called Robox, there were a picture frame at the top and a red box representing the robot’s heart in the shelving.
