The multi-functional designs were allowed to change the form in many shapes. Alex Suvajac designed the Foureight Table in response to the need for functional furniture in small urban dwelling. As a coffee table, the table could be easily folded up. It was used as an eating/work surface at the couch. When situations called for more floor space, the table could be transformed into an end table storing books and magazines.
