The Magnolia chair from designer Jacco Bregonje was among the new products from Artifort’s chair and seating collection for this year. According to Bergonje, the better of two worlds, which were design and architecture, were combined in the chair design. Foam fulfilled the organic shell seat. Fantastic comfort was provided. The unique chair was perfect into the celebrated Artifort collection. The contemporary chair was suitable for reception areas or for a nicely decorated modern home. A chair was designed by Doshi Levien for Moroso. A mouldable wood material had very distinct visual and tactile properties. A thermoplastic composite used 80% wood fibre and 20% polypropylene and used conventional injection moulding machines. Moisture from the wood fibre which in turn burns on the surface of the aluminum tool was released by the pressure and heat from the mould. A random, leather-like tarnished effect was created. This Kwok Hoi Chan Boxer chair was a standing ovation! This unique chair was contemporary re-edition by forward-thinking French furniture firm Steiner Paris. The chair design allowed the 1971 original a run for its money. Even 30 years ago, this contemporary chair protruded from the crowd with its ultra-modern chrome tubular frame and plush upholstered cushions held in place by an innovative elastic suspension system that makes this design second-to-none in terms of comfort.
